Many barefoot shoe brands are small businesses that try to maintain a consistent, sustainable business model, and therefore opt NOT to have large holiday sales. That’s not to say they never have sales, but they just don’t typically to align with holidays. For example, some barefoot shoe brands choose to offer a sale on pre-orders at the beginning of the winter season, and then often times discount for winter items at the end of the season. End-of-season sales are one of the best times to snag a deal on barefoot shoes—especially boots, which can be pretty pricey. Most barefoot shoe brands start clearing out their winter stock in mid to late January to make room for spring and summer styles, and that’s when the sales heat up!

If you’re thinking ahead to next winter (and your feet aren’t growing), now’s the perfect time to grab some boots at a discount. And even if you’re not in the market for boots, don’t skip these sales—many brands include sneakers and other styles, too.

Winter End of Season Sales for Barefoot Shoes

Vivobarefoot

End of season sale mid to late January with styles are up to 40% off. On sale shoes include Gobi Boots, several versions of the very popular Primus line of sneakers, and the newer Motus Sneakers. For full-priced shoes, use code BSG20 for 20% off.

Feelgrounds

Feelgrounds updated the sole material for their barefoot boots for better durability, and now the older versions are on sale for 50% off. I haven’t had major issues with my older boots, so I’d say the 50% off is a great deal for a solid vegan barefoot boot. This includes the Chelsea Boots ($70), and the lined Patrol Winter ($80) and Patrol Lite boots ($75). There are also a few select sizes of their sneakers and sandals on sale with the previous soles. Many barefoot shoe brands are small businesses that try to maintain a consistent, sustainable business model, and therefore opt NOT to have large holiday sales. That’s not to say they never have sales, but they just don’t typically to align with holidays. For example, some barefoot shoe brands choose to offer a sale on pre-orders at the beginning of the winter season, and then often times discount for winter items at the end of the season. End of season sales are often one of the best times to purchase barefoot shoes, especially styles like boots that tend to be fairly pricey. Mid to late January is the popular time for barefoot shoe brands to run their end of winter sales as they clear out winter stock and get ready for spring and summer.

If you’ve been planning ahead for next winter (and your feet aren’t growing), then check out these end of season sales for barefoot shoes for a good deal.  Some brands will have sneakers or tennis shoes on sale too, so they’re worth checking out even if you don’t need new boots.

Feelgrounds

Feelgrounds changed their sole material in Fall 2023 from a very soft and flexible material rubber-like material called TPE to a true rubber to improve durability. The shoes with the TPE soles are on sale for 20% off until they are sold out. I’ve worn Feelgrounds for a few years and really loved just how flexible these TPEsoles were, but did notice that they started to crack after time. If you aren’t particularly tough on your shoes, then I would expect the older soles to last you a few years. If you are hard on your shoes and see a lot of wear on your soles (probably due to your gait), then you’re probably better off with the new more durable rubber soles.

I’ll continue to update this post throughout November and December as barefoot shoe brands announce their sales.

There are a few predictable times for barefoot shoe sales, and end of summer is one of them. Barefoot shoe brands are clearing out summer stock to make way for cold-weather styles, kid’s styles are going on sale for back-to-school, and to top it all off, many US-based brands have Labor Day sales in early September. It’s a great time to grab a pair of sandals or sneakers. 

Some brands even have their fall and winter styles discount to promote their initial launch.

For the best selection, shop early! For most of these sales, once they’re gone, they’re gone til next year.

Barefoot Shoe End of Summer Sales

A number of barefoot brands tend not to have large holiday sales as they try to have a consistent, sustainable business model. That’s not to say they never have sales, but they just don’t tend to align with holidays. For example, BeLenka’s and Mukishoes sales were on pre-orders at the beginning of the winter season, and then often times discount for winter items at the end of the season. Do barefoot shoe coupon codes stack with sales?

Often times, discount codes are not stackable on top of special sales or clearance pricing. Whenever I share a special sale, I try to note if the discount codes are stackable on the sale.

Which barefoot shoe brands offer the best discounts?

Most discount codes range from 5–10%, but sometimes I get boosted codes for a limited time. For example, my Vivobarefoot code (BSG20) is usually 20% off and occasionally bumps up to 25%. I also periodically receive a Groundies code that’s valid only for short windows, usually at 15%. And my Saguaro Shoes code (KELLY15) is typically 15%, but they’ll sometimes run special promos—like back-to-school—where the discount is even higher.
